Nursing Tip of the Day by SE Bellagosi Nursing Agency

NURSING TIP OF THE DAY: When adding formula/supplement to tube feeding bags of pediatric or adult patients,  a maximum of two cans of formula/supplement should be added at a time or as prescribed by a Doctor. Two cans of formula/supplement is equivalent to about 400 ml. The reason: the formula/supplement out of its container is exposed to bacteria that after a few hours can cause infection or other issues for the patient. This tip is presented by SE Bellagosi Nursing Agency. www.bellacarenursing.com.
