The Complete Top Ten Things to Know about False Witnessing

 

 

     False witnessing is like murdering someone with your tongue; and, it is frowned upon by God. Therefore, it is good to know what God is saying in the bible about false witnessing.

 

 

 

         10) "Thou shalt not bear false witness..." (Exodus 20:16);

 

           9) "Thou shalt not raise a false report..." (Exodus 23:1);

 

           8) "Keep thee far from a false matter.." (Exodus 23:7);

 

           7) "Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate 

                  every false way." (Psalms 119:104);       

 

           6)  "A false witness ..." is one of the things that God hates. (Proverbs     

                  6:16,19;)

 

           5) "A wicked doer giveth heed to false lips;.." (Proverbs 17:4);

 

           4) "A false witness shall not be unpunished.... (Proverbs 19:5);

 

           3)  "A false witness shall perish: but man that heareth speaketh 

                 constantly. " (Proverbs 21:28);

 

           2) False witnessing defiles the man/woman. (Matthew 15:18 - 19); and,

 

           1) Restore things gained through false witnessing four times what was
